What is Microblading?

Also known as eyebrow embroidery, Micro Blading is a specialist technique used to create fine feathered strokes. This revolutionary treatment consists of implanting cosmetic tattoo pigment into the upper layers of the skin using a specialised hand-held tool tipped with a blade created from ultra-fine needles fused together. This creates very fine lines which mimic natural hairs.

Who is a good candidate for Microblading?

Any client who wishes to improve the eyebrow, whether filling in over plucked, thin, patchy, scarred, sparse missing hairs or uneven brows.

What are the risks associated with Microblading?

Microblading treatments are very safe, with minimal side effects or risks, this is provided the treatment is performed by a fully qualified and trained practitioner. The area must be keep clean and dry to avoid any risk of infection.

How is Microblading performed?

An initial consultation and patch test will be required before any treatment, resulting in a client specific treatment plan to achieve the best possible results. A topical numbing cream will be applied to make the treatment process more comfortable. Then the colour and specific aims and goals discussed will be created to match the clients’ desires. The treatment takes approximately 60-90 minutes. After a 4-6 week period a top up treatment will be required.

What are the side effects following Microblading treatment?

After treatment, the area around the brows may be slightly red and sensitive. This will ease within a couple of days, the treated area will then scab over (the scabs must not be picked or rubbed as this will affect the final results) a healing cream will be supplied after treatment. The scabs will naturally fall off over the next 10-14 days.

How soon will I see the results after treatment?

The results will be seen immediately after treatment although the brows will appear darker until the healing process has completed.

How long will the treatment last?

Microblading treatments give long-lasting results from 9-12 months, an annual top-up after 12 months is advised.

How Long is the down time after treatment?

The total healing time will be 4-6 weeks after treatment.
