Treatment trends come and go, but the demand for training remains constant. Working as a therapist or a nail technician in a salon or in your own business gives you years of valuable experience. You can put this experience to use by training the next generation of beauty professionals.

Who should take this course?

Targeted at beauty therapists, holistic therapists and nail technicians who are new to teaching; the Award in Education and Training is the recognised and accredited UK entry level teaching qualification.

Course Delivery

8 Day course delivered online with dedicated tutor support to give you guidance and feedback on your assignments and your lesson plan for the micro teach session (delivered on the last day).

Course Content

Students are required to read course notes, participate in discussion forums and complete the set assignments / tasks.

  • Tasks include producing a 15 minute lesson plan,
  • Presenting the lesson to the rest of the group,
  • Evaluation of another micro teach session and then producing a reflective journal summarising your learning experience.

Course Requirements

Students must be prepared to work on an intensive basis over 8 days. The best approach is to work on the tasks every day (usually evenings) and over one weekend.
GTi Online Examination.
Course Entry Level 3 Qualification.
Online support is available throughout this course by the tutor assigned to you through MKLC.
